How does the ranking scoring system work?

I'm new to OGame. I don't quite understand how the scoring system works; I see players with green names (n) who have a fleet practically identical to mine, yet I can't do anything about it. In the Economy rankings, I see people progressing really fast, while my score doesn't seem to budge at all, even when I upgrade my mines. Is there somewhere I can go to understand this better? I want to see if I'm on the right track or not. Thanks.

In particular, **4.5.1 – Real Power Calculation Method** provides a direct answer to your question. However, we recommend reviewing all of the rules rather than focusing only on this section. Also, you are not doing anything wrong; you are on the right track. Many of the players here are experienced and have been familiar with the original OGame mechanics for a long time. Therefore, they already know where and how to find the information they need more quickly and accurately. Once you spend a little more time in the game, you will gradually understand the systems and mechanics better and realize that many things are actually much simpler than they initially seem.
