Hi. In original ogame newbie protection ends, when player gets 500k points. We have 1000x speed here, so maybe we should make it 500million points? Permanent protection doesn't fit the spirit of OGame.

Hello Only,
As we explained previously in your support ticket, this system works somewhat differently in OGameXL and has been specifically designed around the 1000x game speed.
For example, in standard OGame, the attack system is based more broadly on the overall point difference between players. However, in OGameXL, a player's total score alone is not taken into consideration. The reason for this is that two players with the same total score can represent completely different levels of threat. For example, a player who invests most of their points into buildings and research can have the same total score as a player who focuses heavily on their fleet, while their actual combat power is completely different.
For this reason, OGameXL determines attack eligibility using a weighted calculation of the player's Real Combat Power:
* Building score × 0.15 * Research score × 0.20 * Fleet score × 0.50 * Defense score × 0.50
At the beginning of every fleet action, the system recalculates the real combat power of both players in real time and checks whether the difference between them is within the 7x limit. Depending on the result, the attack is either allowed or blocked.
Therefore, it is important to distinguish between the update interval of the weak/strong indicator displayed on the Galaxy and Statistics pages and the actual attack check. This visual indicator is updated at most once every 30 minutes, and a delay in its display does not cause any issue. Whether a fleet action is permitted is always determined using the current power value calculated at that exact moment.
Consequently, OGameXL does not have permanent newbie protection. A new player can attack or be attacked as long as the real combat power calculation allows the action.
This system is designed specifically for the 1000x speed environment to maintain game balance and prevent players at very low progression levels from being directly overwhelmed by significantly stronger fleets.
